a. Note:   ebruary 12, 2007 at his home. He was born February 9, 1950 in Kalamazoo. Dennis focused his entire life to his faith, friends, and family. He was a member of Kalamazoo Seventh Day Adventist Church. Dennis suffered with a seizure disorder from childhood, but did not allow it to diminish his joy for living. He was a testament to making the best of every day, and everyone he met along the way. His journey was an adventure, and he was a true blessing to all who knew him. Surviving are his mother, Lucille Hazell; 3 sisters, Patsy Colliau, Sandra Berry, and Kathie Ortiz; 2 brothers, John Hazell and Jackson Furr, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death is his father, Allen D. Hazell on April 15, 2004. Funeral services were held this morning, Friday, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel 622 S. Burdick Street with Pastor Preston Porter, chaplain at Borgess Medical Center and Pastor Daniel Ferraz of Kalamazoo ! Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating. Interment was in Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
