 Mrs. Velma Irene Belt, 82, died Wednesday at the John Knox Village, Lee's Summit, where she made her home. She was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Belt was a member of the Ridgeview Christian Church. She leaves a son, Victor Belt, 2901 W. 93rd, Leawood; three daughters, Mrs. Leona Vaughn, 504 N.W. 55th Terrace, Gladstone; Mrs. Irene Cornelius, Stillwell in Johnson county, and Mrs. Barbara Duer, 9500 Fremont; a sister, Mrs. Elaine Littlefield, 2602 Quincy; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the McGilley Midtown Chapel; burial in the Greenwood Cemetery in Jackson County. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m Friday at the chapel.
