The family of Mr. and Mrs. Lester S. Smith request the pleasure of your company at a reception in honor of their Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary Sunday, the second of October nineteen hundred and eighty three from 2:00 to 4:00 o'clock in the afternoon Antioch Community Church 4805 N. E. Antioch Road, Kansas City, Missouri.

Lester S. Smith, 77, Kansas City in clay County, a business owner, died April 28, 1988, at North Kansas City Hospital.
Mr. Smith, a brick mason, had owned the Smith Level Co., Inc. since 1950. He was past president and auditor of Local 4 of the Bricklayers Union. He was a member of the Metro Church of Kansas City. He was a lifelong Kansas City resident.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor M. Smith of the home; three daughters, Carol L. Box, Kansas City, Sharon L. Silver, Paola, Kan., and Linda K. Lanz, Gladstone; a sister Martha Cox, Independence; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the McGilley Antioch Guardian Chapel; burial in Floral Hills Cemetery. Friends may call from noon to 2 p. m. Saturday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Julie Silver Memorial Field fund of the Paola Girls Softball Association.
