Note: Mrs. Ruth Warner, 73, of 4936 Marsh Ave., died Friday at a nursing home at 17451 E. Medical Center Parkway, Independence. Mrs. Warner was a lifelong area resident. She worked as a secretary 21 years at Commercial Union Assurance Co. before retiring in 1973. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. She leaves her husband, Edwin H. Warner of the home; a son, Vernon E. Warner, Kansas City; a daughter, Mrs. Donna Coughenour, Independence; a brother, Lester S. Smith, Kansas City; a sister, Mrs. Martha Cox, Independence; and six grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the church; burial in Floral Hills Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the chapel. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to the church memorial fund.
