  William D. Currie, 70, of 203 Currie Lane died the night of July 12, 2008, in Jameson Hospital.
 Born July 10, 1938, in New Castle, he was a son of the late Dale and Frances Deemer Currie.
 He married the former Beverly Emerson on Aug. 8, 1975. She survives.
 Mr. Currie was a truck driver for Calgon.
 An Army veteran, he served from Aug. 2, 1955, to July 28, 1958.
 He was a Shenango High School graduate.
 Mr. Currie was an honorary retired member of Teamsters Union Local 261.
 He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church for more than 55 years.
 In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Staci McCarthy of Oviedo, Fla.; three sons, Dale Currie of Hulbert, Okla., William Currie of New Castle and Robert Patterson of Portersville; five stepchildren; a brother, Glen Currie of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Patricia Cochran of New Castle and Susan Boilard of Wallingford, Conn.; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
 Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, 2429 Wilmington Road.
 A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. James Hockenberry will officiate.
 Burial will be in Mount Zion Baptist Cemetery.
 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harmony Baptist Church, 4102 Ellwood Road, New Castle 16101
