a. Note:   Clarence Paul Rhea, 88, of Graham Road, Jefferson, Ohio, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at the Hospice Unit of Ashtabula County Medical Center.
  Calling hours will be at Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 Noon. Deacon Rich Johnson of Our Lady of Peace Parish will preside with full military honors to be conducted by the American Legion Dewey Howlett Post #103. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.

 ASHTABULA - Clarence Paul Rhea, 88, of Graham Road, Jefferson passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the Hospice Unit of Ashtabula County Medical Center.
  He was born August 14, 1925 in Brenizer, PA, the son of Clarence Paul Sr. and Olive Louella (Switzer) Rhea. On July 24, 1948, he married the love of his life, Helen M. Von Hof and they moved to Ashtabula County in 1980 after spending most of their lives in Cleveland.
  A veteran of the U. S. Navy, he joined to serve during World War II at the age of 17 before being discharged in 1946. Clarence then joined the Naval Reserves and returned to active duty for 17 months during the Korean War aboard the USS Delta before his discharge in 1952.
  Prior to his retirement, he worked as a bricklayer for 40 years and was a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers, Local 5-OH for 65 years.
  He regularly attended mass at St. Andrews Church in Sheffield with his wife although he was not a member and was active in the Bricklayers Social Club in Cleveland.
  He enjoyed hunting, particularly pheasant and grouse and caring for his horses. He and his wife raised and showed Weimariner dogs for many years and had many show champions. Clarence also had a soft spot for his cats.
  He is survived by his brothers and sisters, James (Joan) Rhea of Waterford, PA, George W. Bollinger of Ephrata, PA, Anna (Wayne) Drury of Wildwood, FL, Laurence (Glenda) Bollinger of Blairsville, PA, and Jay Raymond (Denise) Bollinger of Latrobe, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
  He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Von Hof) Rhea on September 15, 2010; one brother, Harvey Wayne Bollinger; two sisters, JoAnn Rhea Coffin and Netta Bollinger Varner; and his parents.
  Calling hours will be at the ZABACK-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 10 AM until the time of service at 12 Noon. Deacon Rich Johnson of Our Lady of Peace Parish will preside with full military honors to be conducted by the American Legion Dewey Howlett Post #103. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.
