  Edward O. "Cowboy" Newlin AUGUST 31, 1925 - SEPTEMBER 28, 2015 Edward O. “Cowboy” Newlin, 90, well-known Catlin resident, passed away at 9:13 pm on Monday, September 28, 2015 at Presence Medical Center, Danville. Edward was born August 31, 1925 in Dana, Indiana to Elvere Roy and Julie Agnes Hunt Newlin. Ed married Mary Louise Neubert on February 22, 1975 in Danville, Illinois. She passed away on December 9, 2006. Survivors include: one son: Glen Newlin of Wisconsin; two brothers: David Newlin of Rockville, Indiana and Jack Newlin of Houston, Texas; one sister: Peggy Benny of Rockville, Indiana; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his care givers: Shonna Jackson of Danville, Michael Acord of Westville, and Marty Acord, Jr of Westville. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Ed was a retired farmer who worked on the Huddleson Family Farm for many years. He enjoyed auctions, collecting scrap, riding around in his truck, and he never met a stranger. He especially enjoyed the food & kindness & fellowship of the Stone Mountain Café. Funeral services at 11:00 am on Monday at Robison Chapel in Catlin, Illinois with Reverend Curtis Flake officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakridge Cemetery, Catlin. Visitation is from 10 am till service time on Monday at Robison Chapel, Catlin. Facts Born: August 31, 1925 Death: September 28, 2015
