a. Continued:   The Leroy K Sholes Sr family was from Nescopeck, Luzerne Co, PA. Leroy was a molder in the iron industry and also worked in the furnace business with his son Jesse in his latter years. He was a jack of all trades and is known for doing house repairs for many in Nescopeck in his latter years. He and Rachel had ten children. They moved from Nescopeck to Loyalsock Twp, Lycoming Co, and on to Emporium and Du Bois in Clearfield Co, PA following the steel industry beginning in 1911. Leroy and Rachel returned to their family home, the Roth Homestead, in Nescopeck in their latter years. Eber Roth, Rachel's father built this home which is yet occupied by their granddaughter in law.
