a. Note:   Over the years, the Nevilles ran an illegal still, and were notorious for selling moonshine that was made in less than sterile conditions, producing more than a few poisonous batches, resulting in several deaths in the county.
  George was making a run to a nearby town, when he ran into the recently widowed, Cora Avenwell. He took advantage of her distressed state, and convinced her that he loved her at first sight. He married her in an attempt to gain access to her fortune.
  When she was disinherited, he left her, alone & expecting their child.
  He was eventually shot for cheating at a game of poker in 1868.
