Note: King of Knowlles Island 1963-2026. King Malcolm was a wicked man, eager for power. When he was twenty-eight years old, his father told him that he would not make a good king and he would do anything to keep him from the throne. His father died unexpectedly a few months later. Although it could not be proven, many suspected that Malcolm murdered his father in order to take the throne. When Malcolm was thirty-five, he finally chose to marry, and chose Nancy Evans, a young woman from Cooke Island, with the hopes of producing an heir and having ties to one of the other islands. But after a few short years, he had grown bored with her, and began having numerous affairs. This is when he met Rosario Solis, a widow who had left her children in the Santa Mavic Islands to find work. They had a very brief affair, which ended when she told him she was expecting. He sent her back to her own island with a small sum and told her never to return. Malcolm’s lust for power grew as he aged, and he was determined to become the sole king of all four of the Avenwell Islands. It would be a goal he would continue to pursue throughout his lifetime, hiring assassins to kill off his relatives, and eventually using Rosario’s illegitimate son to help him carry out his plan. Desperate to go down in history as the king who united and ruled the four islands before he died an old man, Malcolm arranged a marriage between his granddaughter, Princess Isadora, to King Aiden—the young man who had become King of Cooke Island at the age of eleven, and King of Onscots Island and Rundangh Island at the age of twelve—intending on killing the newlyweds as soon as his granddaughter became Queen Consort of the other islands. When King Aiden, still a young man, and the princess began to research their histories, they discovered they were half-cousins. This curious revelation sparked suspicions that their grandfather was the man responsible for numerous murders within the royal family. He was arrested in 2024, tried for treason and spent his remaining two years in prison.
