a. Note:   Fought as a Captain in the War, and was away when his friend, Charles Cooke, was hung by soldiers for killing the soldier who murdered his wife.
  His participation in the war also caused a rift with the King of Onscots Island, and he was stripped of his lands and the king chose to extinguish the title.
