Note: Ella was really the heiress, LADY NELLIE GRACE AVENWELL. The heiress was presumed dead on August 10, 1928 when Viola DeNiau fled with Grace and her sister, Ellen, in a panic after finding their real father, Frank Avenwell, the Duke of Avenwell, dead.
Living in secret, under the name, JANE DAMIEN, she and her sister grow up forgetting their true identities, and believing that Viola and Luther are their grandparents.
She and her sister, Ellen, return to Avenwell Bluffs after discovering who they really are, and are found at the bottom of the bluffs below the cemetery under mysterious circumstances, on the 70th anniversary of the day they went missing.
