Note: uncment in the Lehighton Press on Apr 8, 1904, Vol. 24, no. 26. Anna was of Siegfried's Bridge, where the marriage took place, and Emory was from Northampton. The source for the end of this marriage through divorce was finding Anna Rutman back with her parents on the 1910 census listed as divorced with son Charles R E Kresge, age 5. Charles Kresge also appears with his mother on the 1920 Pennsylvania census as a fifteen year old step-son, to Albert Sturm, Anna's second husband. The source for the age of Emory Kresge was the 1910 Pennsylvania census in which he is listed as single and a boarder. Source Citation: Year: 1910; Census Place: Northampton Ward 2, Northampton, Pennsylvania; Roll: T624_1381; Page: 11A; Enumeration District: 0105; FHL microfilm: 1375394. The source for the actual birthdate and location for Emory is Source Citation: National Archives and Records Administration (NARA); Washington, D.C.; State Headquarters: Pennsylvania; Microfilm Series: M1951; Microfilm Roll: 171. Source Information: Ancestry.com. U.S., World War II Draft Registration Cards, 1942 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations, Inc., 2010. The source for the middle initial of Emory and the name of his father is his marriage certificate to Anna May Rutman. The source for the dates and location of birth, death and burial of single Charles Russell Kresge is his Pennsylvania State Death Certificate no. 67436. He is listed as never married. The source for the marriage of Anna May Rutman to Albert Sturm is the 1930 Pennsylvania census. Source Citation: Year: 1930; Census Place: Northampton, Northampton, Pennsylvania; Roll: 2088; Page: 22B; Enumeration District: 80; Image: 474.0; FHL microfilm: 2341822. The source for the before 1920 marriage of Albert and Anna is finding them married on the 1920 Pennsylvania census. A Charles Kresge, age 15, is listed as stepson to Albert. A previous marriage for Anna makes sense in light of Anna being listed on the 1910 census as divorced while living with her father and mother, Allen and Katie Rutman. There seem to be no children from this marriage based on the 1920 and 1930 census reports.
