I cannot find my original source for the 1862 death of Wesley but my recollection is that it had something to do with mortality in the Civil War. There are records for a Wesley Booten in 1862 in the Confederate Army but our Wesley was in West Virginia and may not have served in the Confederate Army. We DO know that he had died by 1869 as Eliza is listed as a widow on her marriage record to Andrew Melross.
The source for the maiden name of Eliza and the names of her parents is the certificate of her second marriage to Andrew Melross. The entry reads: MELROSS, ANDREW . 26/Greene Co OH -JOHN MELROSS & CATHERINE -BOOTON, ELIZA J., 27 Wid/Wayne -THOMPSON,FINLEY & NANCY (WILSON) =11-19-1869 Burgess, Storther(sp), F. (The biographical information was submitted by contributors)
Publication was "WAYNE COUNTY VA/WV MARRIAGES 1853 -1900 -EXCLUDING CIVIL WAR 1861 - 1864 - INDEX BY GROOM AND BRIDE" Compiled by: KYOWVA Genealogical Society Box 1254 Huntington, West Virginia 25714 - 1254 Page 109. (No date of publication)

Note:   The source for the birth year and location of Wesley and Eliza J is the 1
