Note: E. I HAVE SIMPLY COPIED FROM BOOK SOURCES WITHOUT GOING TO MANY PRIMARY SOURCES, YET COMPARED AND VERIFIED WITH SOURCES BELOW WHEN SOMETHING LOOKED UNRELIABLE. THERE IS SOME DISCREPANCY REGARDING THE NUMBER AND ORDER OF CHILDREN OF ISAAC AND SARAH. SOME LISTS HAVE ABOUT FIVE MORE. I HAVE TAKEN THE CONSERVATIVE POSITION AND INCLUDED ONLY THOSE FIVE AGREED UPON BY SERIOUS MOORE RESEARCHERS. ALSO THESE ARE THE ONLY FIVE CHILDREN WHOSE BIRTH DATES ARE LISTED IN THE BARBER FAMILY BIBLE CITED BELOW (SEE DATES UNDER THE PAGES OF THE CHILDREN). Verification on the info found on the Isaac Lewis Moore family came from Grayson County vital records, source for births of some children of Isaac Lewis is the Moore- Barbour Bible where a transcription is found at http://www.geneocity.com/names/moore/bible.html, which is part of the file mentioned in the last paragraph. This document also contains data for the birthdate of Sarah Carrico, as it lists her death as 1864 including a side note stating that she was 91 years, 8 months, and four days. The Moore Barbour Bible also has records of the marriage of Isaac and Sally Moore, and births of Isaac, Amos, Nancy and Lewis. The contents of this Bible can be had by looking up Moore-Barbour Family Bible online. The Moore Bible can be found in the Briggs- Lawrence County, Ironton, Ohio library. The birth of Enoch Moore from the genealogical records http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=ricknlida&id=I546. The source for the birth and death date of Lewis Moore, Jr. is the book Lawrence Co., Ohio Deaths, 1868-1938 held in the Lawrence County, Ohio Courthouse. The source for the birth and death record for Nancy Moore Austin is Source Information: Virginia, Deaths and Burials Index, 1853-1917 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations, Inc., 2011. Original data: "Virginia Deaths and Burials, 1853–1912." Index. FamilySearch, Salt Lake City, Utah, 2010. Index entries derived from digital copies of original and compiled records. In this record she is listed as the daughter of Isaac and Sally Moore, and the wife of Bledsoe Austin. Rhoda Moore, evidently the widow of Enoch who died in 1850, is living with her in-laws, Isaac and Sally Moore, on the 1850 Grayson County, Virginia census, and is listed as 48 years old. This is the source of the 'bef. 1850' death of Enoch. A good source for the dates of births, marriages, and deaths of the descendants of Benjamin More with multiple primary sources is http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=ricknlida&id=I544, which has been saved as a file by Neil Rutman-2010. For notes on the children see data under their own pages.
