Notes
a. Note:   0 Pennsylvania census, Source Citation: Year: 1880; Census Place: West Salem, Mercer, Pennsylvania; Roll: 1156; Family History Film: 1255156; Page: 591C; Enumeration District: 235; Image: 0295.
A further source is the 1900 Pennsylvania census, Source Citation: Year: 1900; Census Place: West Salem, Mercer, Pennsylvania; Roll: 1441; Page: 6B; Enumeration District: 0170; FHL microfilm: 1241441.
The birth year for Joseph Auble is listed as Mar 1827 on the 1900 census. This census says Joseph and Feyenna were married in 1860, which would be after the birth of oldest son, Frank. Perhaps this is a rounding off of the exact years of marriage. The same census report lists Feyenna as the mother of eight children, but only seven are living. There are seven children on this list, so the eighth must have been born and died between census reports. FamilySearch lists an eighth child, Levi Auble 1856-1861, without source.
The source for the names of the parents of Joseph Auble and his place and date of death is his Pennsylvania Death Certificate, file no. 74406, registration no. 96. The certificate gives only Walburn as the maiden name of the mother. The mother's first name is found on FindaGrave.com online which includes photos of her and father Jacob's headstones and dates. https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=7479075
The source for the birth and death dates of Feyenna is her headstone in the Shenango Valley cemetery, Mercer County, Pennsylvania.
  CHILDREN:
The source for the death and marriage of Franklin Aubel is his death record listing his parent's names, his death date, and name of spouse at "Ohio, Deaths, 1908-1953," index and images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/X6QH-K4V : accessed 04 Mar 2014), Franklin Aubel, 03 May 1933; citing Warren, Trumbull, Ohio, reference fn 30875; FHL microfilm 1992875.
The source for the marriage of James Ash and Ermina Auble and their respective dates of birth and death was a Public Member family tree of CRBlock on Ancestry.com. While not always a good source for accurate information it was excellently sourced except for a marriage document and date. Confirmation of this union was found on the 1920 Mercer County census in which James Ash is living with wife Armina with Armina's brother Charles living as a boarder and listed as brother in law to head of house. Source Citation: Year: 1920; Census Place: Greenville Ward 1, Mercer, Pennsylvania; Roll: T625_1603; Page: 6B; Enumeration District: 45; Image: 55.
Further confirmation for the marriage and the exact date is the obituary of James Ash from the Greenville Record Argus, 21 Apr 1942.
The source for the burial location of James and Elmina is their headstones in the Shenango Valley cemetery in Greenville, Mercer, Pennsylvania
Charles evidently never married as he is single on both the 1900 and 1920 census records. He is living with brother John on the 1900 census, and with sister Ermina on the 1920 census and listed as brother in law to head of house.
The source for the marriage of John and Ella and their respective birth months is the 1900 census. Source Citation: Year: 1900; Census Place: Greensville, Mercer, Pennsylvania; Roll: 1440; Page: 7B; Enumeration District: 0140; FHL microfilm: 1241440. John's brother Charles is living with this family.
The source for the marriage of Henry Aubel to Sadie Hasenplugh, and their respective dates of birth and death is from a Public Member Family tree of lynzsg on Ancestry.com. This marriage is unsourced but I have accepted it pending confirmation.
Circumstantial evidence for a marriage to Sadie, who died in 1906 according to the tree, is Henry being listed as single on the 1900 census living with his parents, but as widowed on the 1910 census, also living with his parents. This is the source of the 'aft. 1900' date for their marriage. Source Citation: Year: 1900; Census Place: West Salem, Mercer, Pennsylvania; Roll: 1441; Page: 6B; Enumeration District: 0170; FHL microfilm: 1241441.
"United States Census, 1910," index and images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MGCC-9GJ : accessed 04 Mar 2014), Henry Aubel in household of Joseph Aubel, West Salem, Mercer, Pennsylvania, United States; citing sheet , family 133, NARA microfilm publication T624, FHL microfilm 1375388.
The source for the marriage of Alvin is the 1920 census in which he is listed as married and his wife's name, though not clearly legible, is most likely Jednith. "United States Census, 1920," index and images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/M61Q-B3F : accessed 04 Mar 2014), Iednith Aubel in household of Emanuel Aubel, West Salem, Mercer, Pennsylvania, United States; citing sheet , family 157, NARA microfilm publication T625, FHL microfilm 1821603.
On further research the name of the wife of Alvin is Zelnith. Source Information: Ancestry.com. U.S. City Directories, 1821-1989 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations, Inc., 2011. Original data: Original sources vary according to directory. The title of the specific directory being viewed is listed at the top of the image viewer page. Check the directory title page image for full title and publication information.
Alvin is living with his single fifty eight year old brother Emmanuel on the 1930 census and listed as single, though Alvin should be listed as widowed. "United States Census, 1930," index and images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XHCG-4BM : accessed 04 Mar 2014), Alvin Auble, West Salem, Mercer, Pennsylvania, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) 0083, sheet , family 74, NARA microfilm publication .
The source for the specific dates for Alvin and Zelnith and her maiden name are from a Public Member Family tree of CRBlock on Ancestry.com. These specific items are not sourced.
Emmanuel evidently never married. He is listed as single on the census records from 1900 to 1930.
Charles also evidently never married. He is living with sister and brother in law Ermina and James Ash on the 1900 and 1920 Mercer County, Pennsylvania census.
