Note: rom the Isaac and Josephine Martin Family Bible. Digital copies of the pages are in the possession of Neil Rutman (2012). This includes the marriage date, middle names of the children, birth dates, death dates, and in some instances, burial locations of both the parents and the children. Further information was found and confirmed on the 1900 Hardin, Illinois census, Source Citation: Year: 1900; Census Place: McFarlan, Hardin, Illinois; Roll: 305; Page: 10A; Enumeration District: 61; FHL microfilm: 1240305. Here we find Augusta Martin (called Gustie on the 1880 census) married, and mother, Sarah Martin, residing with her in McFarlan, Hardin, Illinois. This census is further confirmation of the marriage to Samuel Williams, the date of their marriage, the months of their births, and information on their son, Chester E. Source Citation: Year: 1900; Census Place: McFarlan, Hardin, Illinois; Roll: 305; Page: 10A; Enumeration District:61; FHL microfilm: 1240305. The location of the death of Augusta Martin Williams at Dun Loring, Virginia is from the Martin family Bible and is possibly a mistranscription. The name could be something else, as it is a bit hard to decipher. Whatever the real name is, it would be close to Oakton, Virginia, where she was buried. The source for the deaths of the first four children of Samuel and Augusta before 1900 is the 1900 census. These four children, born between 1890 and 1900 and listed in the Martin Family Bible cited above, are not present on the 1900 census. Mother Augusta is listed as the mother of five children of whom only one is living in 1900. This is Earl Chester, who appears on the 1900 census.
