Note: ennsylvania State Death Certificate no. 49363. This lists his wife as Ellen Acker and parents as John Kohl and Harriet Musick. This document is also the source for the birth and death dates and locations of John and the 'aft 1935' death date for Ellen.
John and Ellen are found on the 1910 and 1920 Lehigh County census records, which are the sources for the birth year and nativity of Ellen, and the year of their marriage (1910 census). John is listed as J Albert Kohl on both census records, but his joint headstone with wife Ellen in the Fairview cemetery in Allentown gives his name as John Alfred Kohl! Confusing but it is the same person. There are several children in this family.
