a. Note:   S BETWEEN THE CHILDREN'S BIRTHS AND SOME MAY HAVE BEEN BAPTIZED IN OTHER CHURCHES.
  PARENTS
The source for the christening of Michael Freyman is the baptism record of the Schlosser's Church, Unionville, Neff's, North Whitehall, Northampton County, (now Lehigh), Pennsylvania, in which his father is listed as George. There is an unsourced death date of 1844, Lehigh County for Micahel Freyman on Ancestry.com. The source for the death date of Maria Freyman is her tombstone inscription in the cemetery of the Jordan Reformed Church, which not only lists her date of death, but her age. This comes from the publication, Burials by Rev. Joseph S. Dubs-Sep. 1831-1849.
The source for the maiden name for Maria was a posting in a family tree online on Rootsweb. This same family tree had the date and location for the marriage of her son, Johan George to Hannah Wieder, a previously unknown event to me. Although they were both unsourced, the fact that the marriage of Johann Georg was later confirmed by finding it in the Jerusalem Church in Salisbury made me interested in this source, and gave credibility to the maiden name Reinschmidt for Maria. I post the following information received on this subject from genealogist, Dick Musselman in 2011:
A Northampton Estate file was also found for a John Reinschmit:
 Estate File #1195
 John Reinschmit, Heidelberg Township, 1787
 Administrators: John Reinschmit, George Holder
Renunciation: Mary Reinschmidt, 24 Feb.1787 (German script)
 Administration Bond: 1787
Inventory & Appraisement: 1787 (German script)
 Final Accounting: 20 Mar.1789
(Note: A review of this file found no direct references to his children nor son-in-laws.)
A Northampton County Orphans Court file was associated with this Estate:
Orphans Court File #128, Folder #7404
 20 Jun.1787
Andrew Miller & Henry Hoffman appointed as Guardians for the following minor
children of John Reinschmit: Henry, Leonard, Maria 24 Dec.1790
Widow: Ann Mary Children: John (oldest son) Jacob
 Samuel
 Simon
 Henry
 Leonard
 Mary
Juliana (wife of John Adam Smith)
 Eve (wife of John Kuntz)
 Elizabeth (wife of George Holder)
Catharine, deceased (wife of Jacob Row, leaving 5 children)
With the exception of Northampton County Estate File #2308 (Nancy Reinsmith, 1805, Penn Township, daughter of Garret Rittenhouse, Administrator: Samuel Reinsmith, husband), no other early Reinsmith or Freyman Estates were found in Northampon Co.
A search of Northampton County Deeds found a Release entered in Deed Book F2, page 450 dated 10 Feb.1790:
Maria Reinschmetin, widow of Heidelberg Township, daughter of the now deceased John Hantwerck, acknowledged receipt of £40 from her father’s estate. The name, Maria Reinschmet, and the fact that she is now a widow, suggests this is the widow of the John Reinschmit listed in Estate File #1195. If this proves to be your family line, her maiden name is now known.
The records of Rev. Johannes Henrich Helfrich (1790-1810) listed one Reinschmidt entry:
Henrich Reinschmidt married Maria Lessig, 8 Nov.1796
The following entries were found in the church records of the Lowhill Reformed & Lutheran congregations, Lowhill Township, Lehigh Co.:
Johan Heinrich, son of Johannes & Anna Maria Reinschmidt, b.5 Oct.1774, bapt.4
Dec.1774; Sponsors: Heinrich Grumm & Catharine Handwerk (single)
Maria Elisabeth, daughter of Johannes & Anna Maria Reinschmidt, b.12 Jul.1776, bapt.1
Sep.1776; Sponsors: Jacob & Maria Elisabeth Rauh Daniel, son of Samuel & Anna Margaretha Reinschmidt, b.10 Sep.1788, bapt.26
Oct.1788; Sponsors: Simon Reinschmidt & Magdal. Redinghauss (single)
Maria Magdalena, daughter of Samuel & Margaretha Reinschmidt, b.24 Oct.1791,
bapt.20 Nov.1791; Sponsors: Heinrich Reinschmidt & Magdalena Klein (single)
 Elisabeth, daughter of Heinrich & Maria Reinschmidt, b.11 Feb.1799, bapt.14 Apr.1799;
Sponsors: Johannes & Elisabeth Schmidt Although there were both Reinsmith and Freyman families residing in the Heidelberg Township area, I found no confirming entries for the marriage between Michael Freyman and Maria Reinschmidt. It is possible Maria was the Mary listed in the Orphan Court files of John Reinschmidt in 1787. She probably was youngest daughter since the other daughters were already married when the father died and Maria was yet a minor.
It is based on this strong circumstantial evidence that I have listed Maria's maiden name as Reinschmidt.
  CHILDREN
The dates for the births and baptisms of all the children of Michael and Maria Freyman are extraced records of the Jordan Reformed Church in South Whitehall, Northampton County (now Lehigh) which lists the parents as Michael and Maria Freyman. There may have been other children baptized in other churches for whom records have not been found. For example, Michael Freyman is enumerated on the 1820 North Whitehall, Lehigh County census as MIchael Freyman, Sr., and is found living next door to Michael Freyman, Jr. No birth record for Michael Freyman, Jr. has been found.
The sources for the marriage of John George Freyman to Hannah Wieder are the records of the Jerusalem Church, Salisbury, Lehigh, Pennsylvania. The source for the birth and death date of Hannah is from http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=schwenk&id=I011251 names her as a child of Casper WIEDER and Catharina EGNER with birth and death dates, married to George FREYMAN, died of accidental fall (Hannah born 24 Apr 1808, died 2 Feb 1899...Note: She's a widow in the 1880 census and I couldn't find her in 1900, so the dates for them at least follow that much). In a quick search online I came across some family history records in rootsweb that gave George's death date and Hannah's birth and death dates, she a child of Casper WIEDER and Catharina ENGER, Catharina the daughter of Heinrich ENGER and Susanna ROMIG. The Lehigh Church Records in Macungie Township have children of Heinrich ENGER and Susanna ROMIG, although not Catharina's birth. Perhaps they started there after her birth. In addition, Hannah Wieder's birth is found in the records of the Jerusalem Church, as "daughter of Caspar Wieder and wife, Catharina, born 24 Apr 1808, baptized 16 Oct, 1808."
The source for the death date of George Freyman is from <http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=schwenk&id=I020196, gives death date, says fell off hay wagon (Says he was born 10 Feb 1804, died 26 Jun 1874)
The source for the marriage of Carl to Lovina Steckel is FHL Q 974.8 K2d - Records of Joseph S. Dubs, Reformed Minister, Berks and Lehigh Counties, PA, 1822-1854, pg. 11, calls her "Lowina" and says both of N. Whitehall; FHL 974.827 D2r - Roberts' History of Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, Vol. 3, pg. 1270 names her as a child of John and Salome, nee KECK, married to Charles FREYMAN; FHL 974.827 K2d, Vol. 2 - Pastoral Records of Rev. Joseph S. DUBS, Marriages, pg. 11, spells her name "Lowina", both of N. "Whistehall", married 2 Apr 1843.
The source for the death of Carl Freyman is from the local German newspaper Der Friedensbote - 6/10/1891
The source of the marriage of Joseph Freyman to Lydia Yehl is FHL Q974.8 K2d - Records of Joseph S. Dubs, Reformed Minister, Berks and Lehigh Counties, PA, Marriages, 1831- 1854, pg. 4, says both of S. Whitehall; calls her "Littia SEHL"; FHL 974.827 K2d, Vol. 2 - Pastoral Records of Rev. Joseph S. DUBS, Marriages, pg. 4, calls her "Littia SEHL" and says both of S. Whitehall (NOTE: Marriage 13 May 1836)
The source for the birth and death of the child born to Esther Freyman and Benjamin Sauerwein is from the records of the Schlosser's or Union Reformed Church as follows:
BIRTH: usgenweb online records of Schlosser's or Union Reformed Church, Unionville, North Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, PA, pg. 57, give both birth and baptism date, sp. Michael FREYMAN, the grandfather, says the child is illegitimate; FHL 974.827 K2d, Vol. 3 - Pastoral Records of Rev. Joseph S. DUBS, Burials, pg. 21, his death record calls him Benj. "SAUERVIEN" with his birth and death dates, buried Jordan Luth.
DEATH/BURIAL: FHL 974.827 K2d, Vol. 3 - Pastoral Records of Rev. Joseph S. DUBS, Burials, pg. 21, his death record calls him Benj. "SAUERVIEN" with his birth and death dates, buried Jordan Luth.
The birth record of child Benjamin SAUERWEIN born 30 Apr 1838 found in the
Schlosser's or Union Reformed Church records names his parents Benjamin
SAUERWEIN and Hetty FREYMAN. This record says the child is illegitimate, then names the grandfather Michael FREYMAN as the sponsor.
The source for the death date of Benjamin Sr. as bef. 1858 is from various family histories found online. I suspect the date 'bef. 1858' originates from the fact that he is not mentioned in his mother's will.
  Esther and Benjamin never married.
Note:   THIS FAMILY GROUP MAY CONTAIN MORE THAN SEVEN CHILDREN AS THERE ARE GAP
