Note: he obituary of his daughter, Cora, in the Allentown Morning Call newspaper, Tuesday, December 13, 1932. It lists the name of Cora's parents and her five brothers- Raymond, Harvey, Ralph, Raymond, and Edmund- and also mentions three sisters by married name- Mrs. William Reid, Mrs Harvey Diefenderfer of Fullerton, and Mrs. Earl Delly of East Catasauqua. These relationships are confirmed in the Public Member family tree of Tilghman's great grandson, Warren Ludwig (wcludwig) on Ancestry.com. This family tree is the source for the spouses and dates of the children of Tilghman. He explained that the reason Tilghman's wife is listed as Mary A on the 1880, 1900, 1910, 1920 census reports but as Margaret in the obituary cited above is that Tilghman was first married to Anna Margaret Jacobs, after which he remarried to Mary A Radeline, who was the mother of the remaining children. The 1870 census finds Tilghman married to a Maggy (transcribed as Maccy) living in the home of his father.
