Notes
a. Note:   PARENTS: The sources for the reconstruction of the family of John Kohl are the 1860 Pennsylvania census, Source Citation: Year: 1860; Census Place: North Whitehall, Lehigh, Pennsylvania; Roll: M653_1131; Page: 647; Image: 133; Family History Library Film: 805131,
and the 1880 Pennsylvania census, Source Citation: Year: 1880; Census Place: Allentown, Lehigh, Pennsylvania; Roll: 1146; Family History Film: 1255146; Page: 75A; Enumeration District: 177; Image: 0381.
A further source is the 1900 Pennsylvania census, Source Citation: Year: 1900; Census Place: Allentown Ward 4, Lehigh, Pennsylvania; Roll: 1429; Page: 2A; Enumeration District: 0061; FHL microfilm: 1241429. In this record widow Harriet is head of house in which two grown sons, Robert and Elmer, married daughter Clara, and son in law Alfred, reside.
  CHILDREN:
This census states that Harriet is the mother of 9 children and that in 1900 only 8 were alive. Therefore, this family record is incomplete by one child.
The Musick Family Chart kept with the manuscript 'Kohl Family and Allied lines of Pennsylvania' by Helen Wittmann Kohl, GEN KO3:1, in the Pennsylvania Genealogical Society in Philadelphia provided only Monroe Peter as a child for this marriage. Clara, Elmer, and Robert were located on the 1900 census. This chart also provided the dates for John Kohl and the marriage info for Monroe Peter. The marriage info for Clara was provided by the 1900 census referred to above.

Robert Kohl evidently never married. The source for the 'after 1920' death of Robert is his appearance on both the 1910 and 1920 Lehigh County, Pennsylvania census records. He is listed single on both, as he was on the 1900 census while residing with his mother, Harriet. In all three records he is listed as a tailor.
The source for the birth and death dates and locations is his Pennsylvania State Death Certificate no. 103044.
The source for the marriage of John Albert Kohl to Ellen Acker is his Pennsylvania State Death Certificate no. 49363. This lists his wife as Ellen Acker and parents as John Kohl and Harriet Musick. This document is also the source for the birth and death dates and locations of John and the 'aft 1935' death date for Ellen.
John and Ellen are found on the 1910 and 1920 Lehigh County census records, which are the sources for the birth year and nativity of Ellen, and the year of their marriage (1910 census). John is listed as J Albert Kohl on both census records, but his joint headstone with wife Ellen in the Fairview cemetery in Allentown gives his name as John Alfred Kohl! Confusing but it is the same person. There are several children in this family.

This document gives the name of her husband, Oliver B J Haines, and her parents as John Kohl and Harriet Musick. This is also the source for her birth and death dates and locations and the 'bef 1947' death date for Oliver.
The source for the birth year and nativity of Oliver, and the year of his marriage to Lillie is "United States Census, 1900," index and images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/M33T-C24 : accessed 11 December 2014), Oliver Haines, District 2 Allentown city Ward 4, Lehigh, Pennsylvania, United States; citing sheet 5B, family 124, NARA microfilm publication T623, National Archives and Records Administration, Washington, D.C.; FHL microfilm 1,241,429.
Lillie is listed as Millie on the 1880 Lehigh County census, but on all later records as Lillie M. Perhaps Millie is a middle name or a clerical mistake.
