Note: ge seventeen. Sarah is listed as eight years old on the 1850 census, in which the surname is transcribed 'Trieman'. "United States Census, 1850," index and images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/M4HT-3BV : accessed 11 December 2014), Sarah Treiman in household of George Treiman, Upper Milford, Lehigh, Pennsylvania, United States; citing family 145, NARA microfilm publication M432, NARA microfilm publication M432, National Archives and Records Administration, Washington, D.C. Sarah is absent on the 1860 census at which time she would have been about nineteen. There is a burial record in Old Zionsville United Church of Christ cemetery for a seventeen year old Sarah Freyman born 15 Dec 1841 and died 6 May 1858. Due to her absence on the 1860 census of George Freyman I believe this is the same Sarah for the following two reasons: First, she is buried in the Old Zionsville cemetery where her parents, George and Hannah, are buried as well as her two siblings, Lydia and William. Second, after an online search on both Ancestry and Family Search for any 'other' Sarah Freyman born in Pennsylvania in 1840-1842, there were no duplicate names that came up. The only Sarah Freyman of similar age from Lehigh County who came up on the 1850 search is my great great grandmother, Sarah Freyman, born five years earlier, and of a known distinct identity. The only caveat in connecting this Sarah Freyman who died at seventeen with the daughter of George and Hannah are two conflicting dates. Sarah Freyman, the daughter of John George and Hannah Freyman is listed, if I read the old German script correctly, as being born 8 December 1841, with a March 1842 baptism, in the United Church of Christ in Old Zionsville (another positive connection). However, the headstone in the cemetery lists the birth date 15 December instead of 8 December! This discrepancy, in light of the other strong circumstantial evidence, could simply be a clerical error on either Church records or headstone.
Note: It is likely that Sarah Freyman never married and died young at about a
