a. Note:   r death of Anna Elizabeth Ludwig nothing has surfaced. She has been an elusive character, especially in comparison with her siblings, whose marriage and death records were discovered with relative ease. See 2016 research notes below of Dick Musselman.

  James Ludwig's July 10 1922 obituary states that he was 'survived by two daughters, Hester Walker of Amesbury, Massachusetts, Ella Fehr of Easton, and Oscar and Richard of Philadelphia.' This is the source for the current 'bef. 1922' death of Anna Elizabeth.
  Subsequent research notes of Dick Musselman in 2016 which follow found no indication of a death or marriage for Anna Elizabeth:
  "A search of Northampton County Estate file and property records for Anna Elizabeth’s father, James Ludwig, found no entries. A similar search for Anna Elizabeth also produced no results at the Northampton County Archive. A search of later records of the Lutheran and Reformed churches in Upper Mount Bethel Township found no marriage or other entries referencing Anna Elizabeth Ludwig.

 The only new newspaper entry found that was associated with this family was the obituary for Anna Elizabeth’s younger sister Ella Katherine Ludwig Fehr who died 23 Mar. 1954. Anna Elizabeth is not listed as a surviving relative at that time. A copy of the obituary printed in the ‘Easton Express’ on 23 Mar. 1954, page 25, is attached."
