Notes
a. Note:   ubmitted genealogy on Family Search. This is not a great source for data as many of the genealogies are unsourced, but subsequent research has led me to accept the integrity of this genealogy. Upon taking the data from this genealogy that William Dickerson Freeman, born in 1839 in Ohio, died in 1918 in Greenwood County, Kansas, I followed the thread for confirmation. Findgrave.com online lists William Dickerson Freeman born in 1839 buried in Greenwood County, Kansas with an obituary attached from The Hamilton Grit Hamilton, KS Thur July 25, 1918. The obituary documents that he was born in Lawrence County, Ohio in 1839 and that he left hoome at age 18. This would expalin his appearance on the 1850 Lawrence County census with his father, and his nonappearance in that county in 1860. As this William Freeman is the only William Freeman I can find from Lawrence County born in approximately 1839 I have connected him to the family of David P. Freeman and Nancy Martin.
The source for his three marriages and the names and dates connected with them are from the obituary cited above.
