Notes
a. Note:   It is believed that Sarah died young and unmarried. The source for the 'bef 1860' death of Sara is the 1860 Lawrence County census. Her appearance on the 1850 census and non appearance on the 1860 census when she would have been at the tender age of fifteen implies an early death. This is not a definitive conclusion, but most probable. One alternative conclusion is that she was married by age fifteen, which in this region and period, while not common and most likely frowned upon, was not out of the question.   No such marriage record appear in the Lawrence County Books.
