Marriage:
Notes
a. Note:   irmed in a roundabout way. The first indication of the marriage was an unsourced and undocumented entry on two Public Member Family Trees on Ancestry.com.
This relationship was documented on the 1870 Northampton County census with John W Knerr married to an Annie Knerr with children. This is the source for the age of Annie. "United States Census, 1870," index and images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MZG5-LR2 : accessed 27 December 2014), John Knerr, Pennsylvania, United States; citing p. 91, family 735, NARA microfilm publication M593, National Archives and Records Administration, Washington D.C.; FHL microfilm 552,881.
One of the children was Harry Knerr born, according to the census, in 1870. After making an online search for Harry Knerr's death certificate, born in 1870 in Northampton County, Pennsylvania, it was found, listing his birth as Northampton County in 1870 and the names of his parents as J W H Knerr and Annie Jacoby. This is the source for the birth state of Annie. This Pennsylvania State Death Certificate is no. 73633.
A duplicate result for parents happens when searching the Pennsylvania State Death Certificate no. 54388 of daughter Lillie Knerr on the 1870 census. I am sure a similar search could be done for the death certificates of the other children on the 1870 and 1880 Northampton County census, and the names of the parents would confirm this marriage.
The document for the date and location of the marriage was subsequently found at Source Citation; Historical Society of Pennsylvania; Historic Pennsylvania Church and Town Records; Reel: 532. This is the source for the full name of John and his parents are listed as John and Sarah Knerr.
The source for the exact birth, death, and burial information for John William H. Knerr and Annie B Knerr is their headstones in the Hays cemetery in Easton.
Note:   The source for the marriage of John W Knerr and Annie B Jacoby was conf
