Note: illiam of the right age, and with father born in Germany and mother in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania on the 1900 and 1910 census. These records are the sources for their marriage year, the month and birth year for Ellen J and William H and the confirmation of their state of nativity. "United States Census, 1900," index and images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/M33C-XNF : accessed 16 December 2014), Ellen J Huble in household of William H Huble, District 1 Scranton city Ward 9, Lackawanna, Pennsylvania, United States; citing sheet 13B, family 257, NARA microfilm publication T623, National Archives and Records Administration, Washington, D.C.; FHL microfilm 1,241,420. "United States Census, 1910," index and images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MGZX-X29 : accessed 16 December 2014), William H Huble, Scranton Ward 9, Lackawanna, Pennsylvania, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) 85, sheet 9B, family 170, NARA microfilm publication T624, National Archives and Records Administration, Washington, D.C.; FHL microfilm 1,375,372. Edith, Nellie and Roberta Simpson, who are called daughters on the 1900 census are called stepdaughters on the 1910 census. This implies an earlier marriage for Ellen J. The source for the 'bef 1894' death of her first husband and 'bef 1875' marriage of Ellen and Mr. Simpson is the 1894 marriage to William and the age of the eldest Simpson child on the 1900 census. The occupation on these census records for William is Railroad Engineer. The source for the death information for William H Huble is his Pennsylvania State Death Certificate no. 72093. This states the cause of death was falling under a railroad car in the line of work. Further connection with the family of Frederick and Catharine Musick Huble is that the certificate states that he was born in Philadelphia, which was the birthplace of his only sister, Emma. The Musick Family Chart cited in the notes of his parents stated that this family resided in Philadelphia for awhile. The informant, widow Ellen Huble, knew little of his parents, or as in many cases so distraught as to be unable to remember, as the father's name is wrong, and his birth place as well as the name and birthplace of his mother is left 'unknown.' Ironically the mother was still living in Northampton County with William's sister, Emma. Subsequent research in 2017 has discovered the name of Ellen's first husband Simpson, her maiden name, as well as those of her parents. The source for the Ellens first husband is the 1880 census. "United States Census, 1880," database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MWNH-3H6 : 16 July 2017), Robert Simpson, Nanticoke, Luzerne, Pennsylvania, United States; citing enumeration district ED 111, sheet 504C, NARA microfilm publication T9 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.), roll 1149; FHL microfilm 1,255,149. Robert Simpson Self M 28 Pennsylvania, United States Ellen Simpson Wife F 24 Pennsylvania, United States Edith Simpson Daughter F 5 Pennsylvania, United States That this is the same Ellen who is found as Ella Huble on the 1900 and 1910 census is based on finding daughter Edith on the 1880 census and the 1900 census. The source for the death date and names and birthplaces of the parents of Ellen is her Pennsylvania State Death Certificate no. 58773. Name: Ellen Simpson Huble [Ellen Simpson Getzinger] Gender: Female Race: White Age: 76 Birth Date: 16 May 1856 Birth Place: Mauch Chunk, Pennsylvania Death Date: 27 Jun 1932 Death Place: Dunmore, Lackawanna, Pennsylvania, USA Father: Charles Getzinger Mother: Mary Dingler Spouse: Robert Certificate Number: 58773 The only odd entry in this document is the name of widowed Ellen's husband is Robert, not her most recent husband, William Huble. Robert Simpson was Ellen's first husband.
