This couple is found on the 1860 New Jersey census with children Nicholas, James, and Mary which is the source for their births, and most likely two adult siblings of James R, and the 1870 census. These records are the sources for the birth year and location of Hannah.

The after 1904 death for Hester is based on her being mentioned in the 1904 obituary of her mother. The Belvedere Apollo, Mar 4, 1904, pg. 3, col. 1. After moderate research the subsequent history of Hester is unknown as of 2014.
