This birthdate is in conflict with the 1900 census which states his birth was Oct 1890. The Draft card also says he is married with two children and employed as a carpenter by his brother Eugene.

The oldest child on this census is 14 and the second oldest 12, which would give them a birth of about 1916 and 1918. These may have been the two children referred to on Robert's Draft Card cited above. It is on this basis that I have given an approximate marriage year of 'bef. 1916'.
