I believe Catharine Ann is the same daughter as Hetean on the 1850 Lehigh County census. They are both the only daughter born in 1840, and Hetean is probably a German diminutive of Catharine Ann. The source for the birth year and location of James Butz is the 1870 Lehigh County census in which he is living with wife Catharine and two children..
There is a James Butz and Catharine on the 1900 Northampton County Census of about the same age as this couple, but the records states that they hade been married for only twelve years in 1900. If this census record is to be believed, this couple is not the same James and Catharine Butz.
On the 1880 census for James and Catharine Butz there is a Mary J Hilyard living with them. While Mary J is listed as a daughter, this could in fact be a niece to Catharine, and the daughter of her married sister, Emma Jane Hilyard.
