Note: It is likely that Burwell never married. According to a letter written 3 Mar 2010 from William Spurlock of Huntingdon, West Virginia, son Burwell Booten died in the Civil War of Typhoid. Mr. Spurlock cited no source.
After an exhaustive search nothing has been found for Burwell Booten beyond the 1850 and 1860 Virginia census. After doing a search on the Virginia and national census records for a Burwell Booten of Virginia, born 1847, nothing turns up in 1870. A few Public Member Family Trees on Ancestry.com say, without source, that he died at age 13 in 1860.
