Another source for the marriage of Walter and Margaret is Historical Society of Pennsylvania; Historic Pennsylvania Church and Town Records; Reel: 546. The source for the birth, death, burial, and location of Walter's wife Margaret and Walter's middle initial is the Easton Sentinel/Express 13 May 1949. Source of Walter's death is the US Civil War Soldier Records and Profiles from History of Pennsylvania Volunteers 1861-1865-History of the 153 regiment, written by Rev.R.W. Kiefer and published in 1909. It lists Walter Rutman as being 22 years old when he mustered in on 7 Oct.1862. He was wounded at Chancellorsville, VA on 2 May 1863 and died 15 Jul.1890. He did receive a pension. The source for the christening of daughter Mary Margretta is from the records of the Salem UCC Church in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania. Her death is also recorded in the Argus (as 26 Dec, though this might be the burial date) as the child of Walter Rutman, Jr., age 8 months. Her tombstone is in the Greenwood cemetery, Howerton with the listing b. 28 April 1882 and d. 23 Dec 1882.
