Notes
a. Note:   E. I HAVE SIMPLY COPIED FROM BOOK SOURCES WITHOUT GOING TO MANY PRIMARY SOURCES, YET COMPARED AND VERIFIED WITH SOURCES BELOW WHEN SOMETHING LOOKED UNRELIABLE. THERE IS SOME DISCREPANCY AMONG REASEARCHERS ON THE NUMBER AND ORDER OF CHILDREN IN THIS FAMILY GROUP. I HAVE TAKEN THE CONSERVATIVE POSITION AND INCLUDED ONLY THOSE UPON WHOM SERIOUS DIEHL RESEARCHERS AGREE.
Source for the birth and death dates and location of burial for Susannah Spinner is her page on FindaGrave.com online from the East Swamp cemetery in Quakertown.
Sources are Ancestry.com file of mlk187 for Jacob Diehl with numerous primary sources, and the Registry Report (pdf file) for Johann Gottfried Weissmuller.
The Registry Report (pdf file) for Johann Gottfried Weissmuller contains an undocumented listing for the wife of Elias Diehl named Mary Elias. Making an exception to a general rule of good research, I used this undocumented listing. I subsequently learned the source of this union is from St. John's Union AKA Flatland Cemetery:
 p. 15 Row 12 (Old Section)
 Mary Diehl 8 MAY 1791 – 8 MAY 1866
 Wife of Elias Diehl
 Elias Diehl 71y-5m-8d
 27 APR 1784 – 5 OCT 1855
