I don't find them in any other census but I haven't looked hard either. The surname spelling is an issue for this couple.
Subsequent research has found a Henry Comfert on the 1870 Monroe County census. This is the same Henry for the obvious reason that daughters Amanda and Josephine are on this record ten years older than they were on the 1860 census. Catharine is not present but the spouse is Mary, though the same age that Catharine would be if she were alive. Is this a mistake in entering names, or did Catharine die and Henry remarry a Mary? No marriage record has been found as of 2015 searching under various spellings for Comfort/Compers/Comfort/Comper.
