Note: OSSESSION OF NEIL RUTMAN-2011), WHICH RECORDED THE BIRTHDATE OF A JOSEPHINE CLARK AROUND THE TIME OF THESE CHILDREN'S BIRTHS. THIS RECORD HAS BEEN LOST, AND WAS NEVER GIVEN MUCH ATTENTION, AND I DONT REMEMBER THE DATE. AT FIRST I WONDERED IF THERE WAS ANOTHER DAUGHTER, JOSEPHINE ,WHO DIED IN INFANCY SINCE THERE WAS NO MENTION OF HER BY THE FAMILY, OR RECORD OF HER AS AN ADULT. HOWEVER, THE 1900 CENSUS INDICATES THAT ELIZABETH HUTCHINSON CLARK GAVE BIRTH TO FOUR CHILDREN, AND THAT FOUR WERE LIVING AT THE TIME OF THE 1900 CENSUS. THEREFORE, THIS HANDWRITTEN NOTE FOR A JOSEPHINE CLARK COULD BE A NIECE OF EDWIN CLARK'S. MORE RESEARCH MAY CLARIFY HER IDENTITY. The initial sources for the reconstruction of this family are the 1880 New York census, death certificate of Grace Clark Massey and Edwin Clark. PARENTS: The source for the dates and location of birth and death of Edwin Clark is his death certificate. The sources for the dates of Elizabeth Hutchinson are her obituary and the Hutchinson family Bible in possession of Neil Rutman (2009). CHILDREN: The source for the dates and location of birth and death of Grace Clark Massey is her California death certificate. The source for the death of Charles Clark and marriage of Francis Clark is the Hutchinson Family Bible in possession of Neil Rutman. Source for marriage of Francis George Clark is New York City Marriages, 1902, in the Municipal Archives, New York City. The source for the birthdate and location of Martha Pell and her parents is the 1880 US census for Brooklyn, Kings, New York.. The source for the first marriage of Edwin E Clark to Elizabeth Dickson is a marriage certificate from the Division of Vital Records, New York City. The source for the second marriage to Ada Keller is from their grandaughter, Barbara Jean Clark. This second family is confirmed by the 1910 and 1920 Pueblo, Colorado census'.
