The source for the death of Jennie is the second marriage certificate of John Frank Smith which states that his first wife (Jennie) died 30 July 1908.
The 1910 census finds John Frank 'widowed.' This census is the source for the name, birth year, and location of the mother of John Frank, who is residing with his family in 1910, and the source for the birth of Russell W Smith. Some genealogies list three other children (undocumented) born in the late 90's- James, Jennings, and Gertrude- all who must have died in infancy, as only Helen Irene and Russel W are on the 1900 census after the death of mother Jennie.
