Note: eadstone in the Mount Olive cemetery, Linn County, Missouri as found on FindaGrave.com online. The inscription reads 'Dottie, wife of E W Cassity' [with dates]. See notes under father for earlier history of Dottie F Moore. The source for the death and burial of Dottie is her Missouri State Death Certificate no. 40689. The cause of death is pneumonia and exposure from childbirth. This was the year of the great flu epidemic of 1918. Her parents are listed as Floyd Moore and Aura Bruce. This also contains her birth information which is duplicated under the notes of her father. Dottie and Edgar had a child in 1916 named Oralee. The fact that childbirth contributed to the 1918 death of Dottie implies another child for whom currently no record has been found. Edgar Cassity married again and had more children.
