The sources for the reconstruction of the David Freeman family with wife Nancy Martin is the 1850 Lawrence County, Ohio census records. The 'bef. 1860' death for Nancy is implied by David P Freeman living without wife and only two sons residing with him on the 1860 census. Source Citation: Year: 1860; Census Place: Fayette, Lawrence, Ohio; Roll: M653_997; Page: 20; Image: 43; Family History Library Film: 803997.
The source for David P. Freeman's second marriage in 1863 to Elizabeth Banks is "Ohio Marriages, 1800-1958," index, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XDJC-14N : accessed 14 Sep 2014), David P. Freeman and Elizabeth Ann Banks, 19 Apr 1863; citing Lawrence, Ohio, reference ; FHL microfilm 0317717 V. 6-8.
It is not known at present (2014) if Elizabeth was a spinster or widow upon entering this marriage.
The 'bef. 1880' death for second wife Elizabeth is implied by David living with son Moses Alfred's family on the 1880 census as a widower. The source of the marriage of Nancy Martin and David Freeman is Lawrence County Marriage Book 1-2-3 page 123.

The source for the 'bef 1860' deaths of Elizabeth and Sara is the 1860 Lawrence County census. Their appearance on the 1850 census cited above and non appearance on the 1860 when they would have been at the tender ages of twelve and fifteen implies an early death for both. This is not a definitive conclusion, but most probable. One alternative conclusion is that they were married between the ages of twelve and fifteen, which in this region and period, while not common and most likely frowned upon, was not out of the question. Source Citation: Year: 1860; Census Place: Fayette, Lawrence, Ohio; Roll: M653_997; Page: 20; Image: 43; Family History Library Film: 803997.
No such marriage record appears in the Lawrence County Books for Sarah Freemn before 1860.
There is a record of an Elizabeth J Freeman married to a Henderson Bone in Lawrence County, in 1872. She is referred to as Jennie in the 1880 census. I believe this is a different woman than the daughter of David P and Nancy Freeman. Elizabeth is on neither the 1860 (as already mentioned) or 1870 census with her parents. If she were married in 1872 in Lawrence County it is likely that she would still be at home. I can find no other Elizabeth Freeman's in Lawrence County living alone, or with another family, on the 1860 or 1870 census. It is for these reasons that I suggest she may have died prior to 1860.
For marriage records of the other children see notes under their own families.
On the 1870 Lawrence County, Ohio census there is a single child (by 1870 all others must have died or left home), David P. Freeman age 18.   The post 1850 history of George Freeman is unknown at present (2016). There is a Lawrence County marriage for a George Freeman in 1866 to Harriet Ballard. This would be a logical choice for a marriage for George, as he would have been about thirty. However, upon checking the 1870 Lawrence County census we find that this George Freeman and wife Harriet were born in 1811 and 1814 respectively. This may have been a second marriage for this couple, but it is certainly not George Freeman son of David P and Nancy Freeman.
