Fay H. Lucas
Mrs. Fay H. Lucas of North Head Grand Manan Island passed away Tuesday October 16, 2012 at the Grand Manan Nursing Home. She was born of the late Lowell and Jessie (Beal) Brown at North Head. Fay raised her family quietly in North Head. She worked as a clerk at "Donnie Morse’s" Store and also the Gaskill Store for many years. Fay was a member of the Church of the Ascension and also was a member of the Church of the Ascension Ladies Guild. She is survived by her three daughters; Lila (William) Penny of Kingston, ON, Paula (Lauris) Guptill of New Minas, NS, and Gail (Ross) MacDonald of Martins Point, NS. One sister-in-law Edith Brown of North Head. Seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Eric in 1961, one son Robert, three sisters; Ellen Harvey, Doris Moses, and Clara Worthen. Also her four brothers; Herman Brown, Lowell Brown, Everett Brown, and Floyd Brown.
Visiting will take place at Ells Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place at the Church of the Ascension on Saturday October 20, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Dana Dean officiating. Interment will follow at the North Head Community Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in the care of ELLS FUNERAL HOME INC. 1199 Route #776, Grand Manan, N.B.
