  The following obituary was published in the Monday April 3, 2000 edition of the Saint John Telegraph Journal:
  BROWN, HERMAN WELDON - After a lengthy illness Mr.
 Herman Weldon Brown passed away at the Grand Manan
 Hospital April 1, 2000, at the age of 84. He was born of the late
 Mr. and Mrs. Lowell and Jessie Brown of North Head NB. He
 was a member of the North Head Wesleyan Church and through
 most of his life he worked at weir fishing, buying live rabbits, selling
 potatoes and gardening. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Edith M.
 Brown, five daughters, Mrs. Shelia (Walter) Wilson of North Head
 NB, Mrs. Andrea Morse of Grand Harbour NB., Mrs. Marlene
 (Douglas) Graham of Maple Ridge NB., Mrs. Deborah (Grant)
 Avery of Grand Harbour NB., Mrs. Leola (Joseph) Ingalls of Seal
 Cove NB., three sons Mr. H. Dale (Brenda) Brown of Grand
 Harbour NB., Mr. Dana (Denise) Brown of North Head NB., and
 Mr. Dwain C. Brown of North Head NB. Also two sisters Mrs.
 Ellen Harvey of Grand Manan Nursing Home, and Mrs. Faye
 Lucas of North Head NB., 19 grandchildren, two great
 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Mr. Brown is
 predeceased by one daughter Wendy Lois Brown, one son-in-law
 Wellesley Morse, two sisters Clara Worthen, and Doris Moses,
 and two brothers Floyd, Lowell Jr. (Ding) and Everette Brown.
 Visiting hours will be at the North Head Wesleyan Church
 Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm for friends and neighbors. The
 funeral service will be held at the church Tuesday at 1 pm with
 Rev. Charles Bain officiating, internment to follow at the North
 Head Cemetery. Donations may be made to the North Head
 Wesleyan Church Building Fund or to the charity of donors choice.
