  Daniel N. Leighton, 49 Lewis St., Moncton died July 6 after a lengthy illness.
 Employee of Canadian National Railways.
  Survived by wife, 2 Daughters Mrs Ida Boudreau, Dorchester Crossing. Mrs Eleanor Manson at home. 3 sons: George, Montreal Daniel Jr. at home William, Moncton. Funeral conducted by Rev. Alexander of St. Georges Anglican Church. Buriel in Elmwood Cemetery.

  Death of D.N.Leighton
  Many friends will regret to learn of the death of Daniel L. Leighton, 49
 Lewis Street which occured in Moncton Hospital yesterday after a long
 period of illness.
  He was a member of the Morning Star Lodge 168; Brotherhood of Railway
 Trainsmen; also a member of the CNR War Vetrans Association.
  He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs Ida Boudreau of
 Dorchester Crossing and Mrs Eleanor Manson at home; three sons, George
 of Montreal, Daniel Jr. at home, and William of Moncton.
  The following was published in the Moncton Daily Times Tuesday 11 July 1950
 on Page 2:
  "Funeral Service for the late Daniel N. Leighton was held Saturday afternoon from Tuttle Brothers Chapel with Rev. J.J. Alexander, pastor of St. George's Anglican Church officiating.
 The church choir sang the hymns "The Old Rugged Cross, Nearer my God to Thee," and "O God Help the Ages Past".
 The Canadian Legion committal ceremony was conducted by Sam Bourgeois and "Last Post" was sounded by Bugler Harry Ulls. Internment in Elmwood Cemetery with Rev. Mr. Alexander officiating. Pallbearers were co-workers and fellow vetrans"
