  FUNERAL SERVICE FOR ISLAND MAN
  Funeral services were held for Sidney Worthen in the Church of the Ascension with services conducted by Rev. Hugh Thompson.
 Born in North Head in 1931. Mr Worthen died at his home July 16, 1967, at the age of 36 of a heart attack. He was a diesel operator of the NBEP Commission for 15 years, he was a member of the Local Union1711 IBEW and a member of the IOOF Lodge, North Head.
 Besides his wife, the former Helen Brown of Grand Harbour, he is survived by three daughters, Linda 15, Charlene 9, Karen 5, five sons, Larry 17, Kevin 12, Douglas 11, Norris 10, Karl 4; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Worthen; one sister, Mrs Clyde Leighton (Marjorie), one brother, Gerald of Toronto, grandmother Mrs. Addie Worthen, several aunts and uncles.
 Pallbearers were Lloyd Russell, Eugene Somers, Frank Daggett and Melvin Tucker of the NBEPC, ? Gibson, thermal operation engineer of the NBEPC of Fredericton attended funeral services.
 Many floral tributes were received as well as a number of donations to the Canadian Heart Fund made in his honor.
