Note: In July 2007 Heather went to Moncton NB on vacation. While there she had a chance to talk to her uncle, Wayne Leighton.
He mentioned that Gary dropped out of school in Grade 9 and enlisted in the Navy. He was stationed in Halifax for about 5 years and had to leave due to poor eyesight. He then returned to Moncton and went to the trade school and became a plumber.
He was killed in Shediac NB in a snowmobile accident in 1976.
