Note:   The date of birth for Thomas Frizzell is January 12, 1750, according to the essay Frizzell of Isle of Wright, Historical Southern Families, Vol. I, page 201.
Thomas Frizzell was a soldier of the Revolutionary War and served from Chesterfield District of South Carolina, along with Nathan Frizzell and John Gale Frizzell. For a period of time Capt. William Deason, the brother-in-law of Thomas Frizzell, served in the Kershaw Regiment of the South Carolina Militia along with Capt. Ransom Davis, brother-in-law of David Johnson.
His brother John Gale Frizzell received a tract of land on the drainage of the Pee Dee River in Anson County near the border with Lancaster County and Chesterfield District in South Carolina.
Thomas Frizzell received an original land grant of 400 acres on the waters of Flat Creek in Lancaster County, South Carolina. So did Neal Johnson who married Sarah Frizzell, and after he died she married second a Deason man in Kershaw County.
Golden Williams purchased a tract of land on September 12, 1791 from Thomas Frisel and his wife Elishaba of Lancaster County, South Carolina, with Benjamin Deason and Prudence Frisel as witnesses. This deed is additional evidence that Thomas Frizzell and Elishaba were husband and wife.
