a. Note:   e lived in Fen Stanton at the age of 17. There he learned carpentering. He was baptized a Mormon on 23 December 1849. Six months later he was made and Elder, and soon after appointed president of the Fen Stanton Branch.
  Robert Aldous came to America about 1851, in company with his wife and daughter; took up a temporary residence in St. Louis, Missouri, then continued on in his journey to Salt Lake
 City Utah arriving on the 14 September 1853. He was in the Claudius V. Spencer company. He stayed in Salt Lake about a month, then moved with his family to Ogden, and then to Bingham's Fort. In early spring 1861, he relocated to Huntsville. He supervised the building of three bridges in Ogden Canyon, helped build the first log school house, and supervised the construction of the stone school house in the same location. In the church he has held the offices of Elder, Seventy, and High Priest.
