Note: Her nickname in the Cushing family was "Run" (we have no idea why)

She was from Covington, PA at the time of her marriage.
WFT v10t3213 shows place of birth as Blossburg, PA.
an obituary may have appeared in the "McKean Co. Miner" on Thursday, April 17, 1941.
(Her middle name might possibly have been Margaret after her mother or possibly Mary. I don't know.)

I have a photo of her gravestone in the Keating plot in St Elizabeth's Catholic Cemetery in Smethport, PA. that I took in August 2003

Note: (The 1860 census transcription on the Tri-Counties site shows Lucius as age 50, it definitely looks more like 52 to me)
There are major discrepancies between the ages of the parents from 1850 to 1860 - from the 1850 ages Lucius should have been 57 in 1860 and Margaret 50 in 1860 ?? The older children's ages are closer ,but if Michael was 12 in 1860 he should have been listed in the 1850 census at age 2, but his actual birthdate as given in the family Bible, would make him be 9-1/2 in 1860, and Ellen should have only been 6-1/2 and James should be 5. If the information was supplied by one of the parents they seem to have had only a vague idea of their children's ages. ?

(Our family notes had shown her name as Ellen,she apparently went by the name Ella normally, each census shows her as Ella until 1930 when she is shown as Ellen, James Cushing's middle name was Thomas apparently, inital "C" is incorrect)

Ella's brother, James Cushing, was no longer living with the family.
They had 2 servant girls (sisters aged 16 and 14) and 4 boarders, 1 Blacksmith, 1 Coal mine foreman, 1 Locomotive Engineer, and 1 day Laborer. All of the people could read and write (except the 4 and 6 year olds)

Ellen (sic) M., wife, age 76, homemaker, first married at age 22, born in PA, both parents born in Ireland
They did not own a radio set.
(Note John's age was actually 78 not 79)

Note: in the 1900 Census for Sergeant Township (Clermont), there was a family named Cushing, husband's name obscured by calculations on the census sheet, (it could possibly be Lucius), he was aged 53 and was born in PA in 1846 with both parents born in Ireland and was a carpenter. He may have been an older brother of Ella Cushing. His wife's name was Anna and she had been born in Ireland in 1853 and had immigrated in 1876.. Their children were Ralph b 1885, Irene b 1887, and Marjorie b 1892 all born in PA.
