Note: Old Parish registers - Marriages 265/ 0030 0238 Marykirk, Kincardineshire, Scotland "Oct 21sr 1841 - Alexander Taylor and Ann Low both of this parish were contracted in order to marriage(sic)" [this may have been the date of the posting of the Banns - the birth registration of son David Paton Taylor in 1866 gives a marriage date of what appears to be November 26, 1841 (the following 1841 census record is a possibility. The parish name is Fordoun, which could be the same as her birthplace as given in the 1851 Census transcription as "Forden" she was living here in 1841 with the family of farmer David Gibson, and was a farm servant (F S) In 1851 and 1861 there was at least one farming family named Low living in Arbuthnott Kincardineshire.
