a. Note:   according to his great-grandson, D. Norman Taylor, he was a handloom weaver, or more particularly, a setter-up or maker of hand looms.
  (We previously had his name as William, apparently per Norman, although that may have been a recording error on our part)
  The name Andrew and wife's name Isabella Kilgour comes from the death registrations of both of his sons, Andrew in 1898 and Alexander in 1897.
 His occupation is listed as Linen Weaver on Alexander's death reg., and as Hand Loom Weaver on Andrew's death reg.
