Notes
a. Note:   per Greenhalgh notes : "never married, raised 2 nephews, Alec and William, left with her when her brother William emigrated to Canada."
 (apparently William's wife was dead.)
another note say she at one time worked for J. P. Grewar (sp?) & Son, Cabinetmakers, Upholsterers, and Funeral Undertakers, at Gravesend & Panmure St, in Arbroath.
Norman Taylor describes his aunt thus :
"Aunt Maggie was a quite different character [from her sister Mary], placid and ably supporting herself by running a corner shop, groceries, sweeties, and the like. She brought up two nephews, herself unmarried, left by one of the brothers when he emigrated (William I imagine) Alec and William."
