Note: We had his name spelled Meyers, but the Eulalia Cemetery Company records showed it as Myers.

According to family lore as transmitted by Jane Dorgeloh [Muranyi] and apparently received from her mother Josephine McConeghy [Dorgeloh], Eleanor was simple minded and her older brother Robert, a physician, did not want her to marry and have children.
She apparently eloped with the much younger town rake, and it took the family some time to locate her. Supposedly when they brought her back to Coudersport, her brother Robert forced her to have an abortion.
This does not exactly seem to correspond with the other data we have since we show a child, Lawence Myers, born in 1931, but we have no further information on him, so he might have died in infancy, or at birth or it could have been a concealed abortion.
Supposedly Eleanor and Charles Myers were divorced sometime between 1944 and 1950. I have no information about where this fact comes from.
